Mint (Peppermint)

Mint is actually an umbrella term for many types of mint: Peppermint, field mint, mint julep, spearmint... there are over 500 varieties of mint! Now bringing the fan favourite Peppermint. This mint is perfect for baking sweets, mixing with tea, and pairs well with cinnamon, chillies and other spices. Whereas spearmint is excellent for cooking savoury dishes, peppermint is great for dessert.

Spearmint is lighter in colour than peppermint and thus also great for blending into sauces. Regency Spearmint comes from Turkey, where it grows naturally and has a high oil content.

Oregano

Oregano is an important cooking herb, used across a wide range of cuisines. Unlike most herbs, Oregano is preferred dry as opposed to fresh, as it's flavours are more concentrated in the dried flake form. It's highly aromatic, with a herbal and slight bitter taste. Regency Oregano is made from 100 percent dried oregano leaves.

Parsley

Parsley is a highly popular herb, used around the world in a range of cuisines to add rich herbal and cooling flavours. Regency Parsley comes from the mediterranean region in Egypt, it's natural habitat of centuries, and a fine producer of many herbs we use today. Here, Parsley tastes sweeter and richer than common herb varieties. Our parsley is also sundried for preserving the maximum flavour and aroma.

Rosemary

Rosemary has recently become a highly desired spice in modern cooking. Rosemary is native to the Mediterranean and Central Europe, and Regency gets ours from Morocco. Here, Rosemary naturally grows to much longer length and bright yellow leaves with fuller flavour including orange and caraway notes, known in trade as Gold quality. It has many culinary and medicinal uses, and is most popular for cooking roast meats and stuffings. Our Rosemary is already removed from the branches, and is this much more convenient for use in cooking than fresh. In most cases, it also tastes better!

Sage

Sage is not so well known in Asia, but extremely popular in America and Europe. Sage has very strong flavour, so a little goes a long way, especially when using these high quality sage leaves - far more potent than flakes. This sage is also great for making sage butter, and in bouquet garnis, as it's easy to remove and keep aside after cooking. In it's natural origin in Israel, Sage leaves grow much thicker and larger, developing higher volatile oil contents than most countries. Sage has been growing here in Central Europe since the middle ages. One large leaf is enough for making a delicious sage tea, with locals drink to have more peaceful sleep. To ensure the best natural flavour, Regency Sage is kept vacuum sealed until sale.

Summer Savory Flakes

Summer Savory Flakes from Turkey. Perfect for adding a deep warmth to soups, stews, and stuffings for turkey, chicken, sausages.... the list goes on! Anything that is savoury in flavour can get better by adding the aptly named Savory Flakes. Not to be confused with it's mintier cousin, Winter Savory, these Summer Savory flakes are sweeter and more mellow.

Tarragon Flakes

Tarragon is one of the rarer herbs in cooking, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the most delicious. One whiff of the smell and you feel like you're actually sniffing chocolate. Cook with it for gorgeous deep sweet flavours of aniseed and vanilla. Our Regency Tarragon comes from Spain. In the culinary world, French and Spanish Tarragon are known to be some of the best in the world - we've found that while french tarragon is better fresh, Spanish Tarragon is much more potent when dry. It has a stronger flavour, and also the anise flavour notes, plus it's much more long lasting.
